3. Explore Wildseed Farm’s wildflower fields.
Admiring the local wildflower fields is easily one of the best things to do in Texas Hill Country, and Wildseed Farms is a great place to do just that! You can walk the half-mile trail through the 200-acre fields, visit the beautiful gardens, shop their specialty food store and plant nursery, and experience their award-winning wines at their tasting room. The paths through the vineyard, garden, and fields are wide and wheelchair accessible, with butterflies and hummingbirds flitting around the blooms.
4. Hike the trails at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.
Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is only a quick 10-minute drive from Arch Ray on the River and has 11 miles of scenic hiking trails to enjoy. The popular Summit Trail leads you to the top of the massive pink granite dome for which the area is named, and the views are nothing short of breathtaking! If you bring your dog with you, take note that dogs are allowed only on the Loop Trail and the designated picnic areas and must be on a leash no longer than six feet at all times.
5. Enjoy live music at Luckenbach Texas.
Probably one of the most iconic spots for live entertainment in Texas Hill Country is at Luckenbach. More than just a live music venue, the historic music hall dates back to the late 1800s, and the old trading post also features a general store and bar, all surrounded by 500-year-old oak trees.
